A Message from the Mayor
Dear Resident:
As the Holidays are now behind us and we are in the middle of winter, please be assured that our emergency management is ready for any situations which might arise should there be any inclement weather to deal with.
We recently sent out requests for proposals for shuttle service to the Manhasset Train Station from Christopher Morley Park and the Village of North Hills in the morning and back to these locations in the evening. We have received seven different responses and the Board is in the process of evaluating these various proposals.
At the request of the Manhasset Rotary Club, the Village of North Hills is supporting their project to ship needed supplies to our troops by having a "drop off bin" at the Village of North Hills for our residents convenience. (for a list of supplies needed please refer to the link on the website).
Requests for generators is still a top priority for many residents, and once again the Building Department has a list of requirements for a generator permit should you anticipate installing one. Please call the Building Department (627-3690) for any further information on generators.
Mayor Natiss

New Communication System - NorthShoreAlert.org
We have joined a new communication system called NorthShoreAlert.org. This system will permit government, police, and fire departments to quickly disseminate emergency and non-emergency information via a number of different methods. Depending on the nature of the alert residents can be contacted at their home/business, cell phones or by email.
Mayor Natiss urges residents to register as soon as possible. "Previously we were only able to reach residents of North Hills by phone or Post Office mail This is an important step towards correcting that."
